A perfect December 1st storm.

What a mess. ORD has cancellations numbering in the hundreds, a strong jet stream and cold front is shaking up passengers over the Ohio Valley with severe turbulence.? Since ORD is such a busy hub, there’s probably no one in the country who won’t experience some sort of delay today.

Yup, it got us well and truly. Apparently only one of the four runways was open.

We flew in from Manchester, UK, and were due to connect onwards to Miami to catch a cruise ship.

Instead, we ended up sleeping on the floor at ORD, and flying out the following day via Washington Reagan.

Caught the ship with an hour to spare.
