Turbulence powered by the jet stream and thunderstorms

More rough rides for those traveling through the south east today. In an unusual situation, turbulence is being caused by a combination of both convective storm activity and a strong jet stream. The combination is causing severe turbulence for many planes in the area.

A SIGMET (basically, a warning) was issued:
