Thanksgiving Weekend Travel - Minimal Turbulence

During the busiest travel weekend of the year, it looks like travelers will only be subject to minimal turbulence. Most flights are currently reporting only light, and a few reporting moderate. Looking forward, Turbulence Forecast expects most flights will only hit light, and a small percentage of flights will hit moderate for this travel weekend. Not a bad forecast for this time of year. Delays also appear to be minimal, but may increase for the weekend. Be sure to check with your airlines website for the latest travel information.

You figure there won’t be heavy turbulence this weekend despite that erratic jet pattern developing by early Sat AM? I’m flying from Calgary to Toronto Friday night likely over the northern US and lakes.
I just remember that weird jet that caused so many problems back in October and how similar this one is beginning to look- mind you not as bad.

There might be some chop at the boundaries, but I don’t think it will be as bad as it was in October. Also, it’s always a bit rougher in Canada, see this map:

So I think the worst of it will be near Calgary, but then it looks decent.
