Wow, extreme in Florida today! At 37000? Just out of curiousity, what would cause extreme turbulence at that altitude, a thunderstorm? And also, what would extreme turbulence feel like?

I suspect they got a little close to a thunderstorm.

Extreme is likely nasty, probably like a mild roller coaster, if I had to guess. Let's hope I only have to guess! Extreme can cause damage to an aircraft.
