I recently was told about an in-flight experience.
My friend's brother-in-law was flying (don't remember where to) but experienced an "air pocket" as it was explained to him. They lost 2000 ft of altitude, the stewardess was "stuck to the celiing" and trays were "floating." He said everyone was crying and yelling. He said he fell for a good minute. I have heard a similar story from a friend. I am extremely afraid of flying to begin with, and this did not help. Is this possible? What does it mean? And does that happen often? Does that make it risky for the plane to go down?
