Jet Stream, cold front, weather system coming together over the plains. Big area of NE, KS, and OK could produce bad rides for transcons.

Great. And I am going from PHX to KMCI tonight...going to be rough most of the way I think. Nearly 3 hours of it. I will write a report when it's over.

curious to hear how your flight went

seems like the worst of it actually was Sunday when the high winds came onshore

Actually, aside from the flight being overbooked and making it onto the plane (A319) on standby...the ride was not too bad. Smooth most of the first hour followed by intermittent light turbulence for the final hour..but the approach was rough. 30mph gusts at MCI..not only were we bumping around, we were yawing. Must have been a crosswind situation. That bad part was only about 15 minutes at the end though. Oh, and I ended up with the middle seat :(
