Didn't get a response from tb_neg on a forecast, probably because I formatted the title wrong and he missed it. I wasn't really concerned about the flight, but I heard we might get some weather on Thursday which may affect flight comfort.

Flew out of RNO early Tuesday morning, at 6:10 AM. Slightly delayed for de-icing. Flight was only one tiny notch above "completely smooth." Fasten Seatbelt light was turned off. About 15 minutes later there was about 10 seconds of very, very light bumps and the captain put the Fasten Seatbelt light back on as a precautionary. The rest of the flight was completely smooth.

I flew from LAS to RNO Thursday night. I was briefly considering moving the flight to Friday to avoid the weather. WOW DID I DODGE THAT BULLET! Check out the Airmets and Pireps - the Reno area is a mess! It's red on the Airmets and there's severe turbulence a little south of Reno (at 39K and 41K feet - wow!) and a ton of moderate. The airport was closed from 1:00 for a couple of hours because of high winds. A plane even crashed north as it was approaching Reno (a small Cessna, one dead), and there is conjecture it was weather related.

The flight last night was mostly smooth with a few bumps approaching Reno. RNO does get very nasty and I'm happy to say that this was a far better flight than average. I got a flight into Chicago Midway in a couple of weeks and I'm kind of stressing over that. We'll see I guess.

Sorry, I've been horrendously busy, but I am glad your flight did work out.

no worries, like I said I blame myself for not formatting the subject correctly :)

Plats get a little latitude around here with that.
