Didn't get a chance to post a request for the return trip home, but I checked the website last night and I could sense your reply might have been 'be prepared for some bumps'! As we boarded, the captain said that they had just flown up from ATL and were surprised by how bumpy it was, so I was ready for it. We took off at around 10:30am on a Delta 757. It was sunny in NYC, but it didn't last long. Very high clouds pretty much the whole way. From about 20,000 feet, all the way to around Roanoke, VA (I was watching the moving map) we had some light to moderate. Then it got pretty rough for a few minutes, and we climbed to 40,000 feet which was smooth for about 20 minutes. The last 45 minutes were hit and miss - some smooth, some light, and some heavy bumps descending into ATL. At least we landed 20 minutes early - and yet again, I survived! Overall it wasn't the greatest flight but it could have been worse (as is always the case).
