We are starting to enter the fall/winter pattern, the jet stream is lower, and there is a greater chance for light to moderate at altitude.

As we transition into a summer weather pattern, flights will be a lot smoother for the next few months until the winter pattern returns again.

It turns out that March was a bit premature to post that the summer pattern is here, but it's here now, as the jet stream is up in Canada most of the time. As for a time frame, I'd say May through October for the summer pattern.
