How smooth of a flight am I looking at?

Hawaii flights are hard to guess, but I'd say that if there was any kind of bumps, it'd be in the first half. Please let me know how accurate this prediction is.

In the first half of the flight, if there were some bumps, would it be
due to clear air turbulence? Are flights to Hawaii generally smooth?
Most people I know that have flown there have said that they dont
recall any problems with turbulence.

Yes, it would most likely be due to clear air, usually caused by the jet stream. All clear air turbulence really means is that it happens in absence of clouds, or anything else, just really invisible.

Because Hawaiian flights are usually over the ocean, they can be smoother than others, but to answer your question, not everyone may think of common turbulence of anything of note, or perhaps they were sleeping when it happened.
