Flying back home to New York on Tuesday night, any chance this flight will be as smooth as the last?

Actually yes. I think about the same. Some possible bumps nearer to JFK, but probably as good as the last one, if not better. Enjoy!

Thanks for the forecast. The flight was mostly smooth, but there was some light to light moderate chop across nevada and utah. We were nearly a full hour into the flight before the seatbelt sign was turned off.

I noticed the eastbound flight wasn't quite as smooth as the westbound. Does that have anything to do with the increased speed of flying with the winds as opposed to against it?

There are so many factors that it's hard to answer your question. Usually though, I think it's rougher against the wind than with it, but jet stream shear matters most.
