5/9 Ewr-aus Coa 806

I'm headed back EWR-AUS on Wednesday night (5/9) on COA 806... Any predictions, especially with those TX storms?

I would say outside of any storms, it should be ok. Perhaps a few high altitude bumps. As for storms, I wouldn't worry too much, but there is always a possibility of some bumps even from miles away. In general, storms are avoided.

For the most accuracy, check the radar picture in the afternoon. I'd also check for flight delays.

Turns out that the flight wasn't too bad at all. We climbed to FL380 and had a few bumps, so we tried FL400 and things were much smoother. Went by a bunch of thunderstorms and saw some great light shows, but not many bumps. Things did get pretty bumpy over LA and TX due to weather in those areas, but overall a fine flight. Good predictions... :)
