On 5/23, I'm headed from AUS-PHX on USA2783... CRJ-900 aircraft...
Connecting from PHX-CLT on USA1540... Airbus 320 aircraft...
As always, I'm especially worried about the storms and convection forecast for Wednesday over TX, NM, and AZ... Any chance I'll be flying out early enough that these storms won't be an issue for me?
Thanks for the input!
Alex

Hello. I don't think the storms will be much of a concern. I think overall the flights will have a good chance of being mostly smooth, but I think you have an average chance of some light here and there. You are taking off and landing in PHX, and the hot weather can make for some bumpy take off and landings. You are fairly south of most of the jet stream activity and the storms don't appear to be much in your way.

This forecast was dead on... AUS-PHX was totally smooth. It was a 6am flight, so the thermals in PHX weren't out to play just yet. PHX-CLT was also quite smooth. I was able tol see the huge storm system over the middle part of the country during the flight, but it was well to the north of us. Pilot put the seatbelt sign on as a precaution (understandable) as we were passing by, but no real bumps to speak of...
Thanks...
