Hi,

I'd be very grateful for any thoughts you might have regarding this flight.

London Heathrow - JFK 30th May 08:05 (GMT)

Thanks

I'm going to say a few isolated periods of light-moderate are possible, especially near LHR (average chance) and then again near JFK to the north a bit (slightly better than average chance), but i think the majority will be smooth with a slight chance of light bumps here and there.

Safe flight, and a report when you get back, please.

Many thanks for the forecast.

The flight was OK, with the bumpiest bits occurring over the British Isles, about 31/2 hours in, and over Newfoundland / Nova Scotia.

I was seated towards the rear of a 747-400. The cruising altitude for most of the flight was 33000, increasing to 38000 as we hit land (North America). The seatbelt sign was not lit throughout the any of the cruise (although other pilots may seen fit to do so - it did get a little bit rough in patches). At its worst it was probably light-moderate, with quite a bit of (very) light and a significant proportion of smooth.

Overall, nothing terrifying, and enough to convince me to enjoy a helicopter flight this morning!

Thanks again

One other point - the passengers did not hear from the pilot at all between LHR and Long Island!!

Unfortunately, the ride is much worse in the back. I'm glad it went ok though.
