I know foreign forecasts aren't nearly as reliable, but I appreciate the effort anyway.

There has been some significant turbulence in the area of LAX as of late, and there very well might be some turbulence out of LAX for a bit, but it will soon be over and the flight will smooth out considerably a little past the Mexico border. There is a pronounced jet stream in the area, which is causing the LAX area bumps and red zones on the map.
I hope we see a detailed trip report on your blog (http://www.crankyflier.com), and a report back here would be nice.

Ah, I wish this trip were for me. I was actually showing your site to a coworker today after he started wondering if the flight was going to be rough or not. So no report on the blog this time. I will, however, make sure to report back once he returns.

My coworker just returned, so here's your report. He says there were a couple bumps on the way out of LAX, but that was hardly noticeable. The rest of the flight was perfectly smooth. Now, if he just could have avoided that food poisoning while he was down there . . .
