Hey thanks for the site, I really appreciate all the info. The last time I took this flight (mid March), it got pretty bumpy over the rockies in Utah and Colorado due to the winds but the rest was smooth.
Needless to say, it was pretty nerve wracking. It was my first time flying in over 10 years and my first flight alone. I'm hoping most of this upcoming flight will be smooth but I get the feeling there will be some turbulence over the North east.
I had another question if I may. How common is the sudden drop turbulence? Does that only happen with clear air turbulence? The last flight was bumpy and the plane rocked a bit but it never lost altitude.
