Head from AUS-IAH-PIT this weekend...

COA 340
AUS-IAH
7:00AM - 8:00 AM
737-300

COA 1722
IAH-PIT
10:20AM - 2:20PM
737-300

Any ideas for how these flights will play out will be appreciated. As usual, I'm concerned about weather enroute (especially near TX).

Thanks!

It really should be pretty smooth. Storms are of concern of course, but if the storms are bad, they won't take off or land, and most storms are given a wide berth. They are relatively easy to dodge. Jet stream is way up to the north, and that usually causes the vast majority of turbulence. Of course, if a plane strays near a unexpected storm or updraft or downdraft, that might rough things up a bit, but otherwise I anticipate smooth sailing. Might be a few bumps here and there, especially during takeoff and landing if it is windy though, and again, the aforementioned storms.

Safe flight.

Both flights turned out to be fine, quite smooth actually. The only really rough part was the final approach into PIT. I don't know what the issue was, but we really got roughed up for the last 5 minutes or so. Thanks for the forecast!
