UA 944 departs ORD 1434 on a 777
LH 174 departs FRA 0905 (9/30) on AB3

Thanks in advance for the forecast for my first European adventure! (I realize forecasts for Europe are not as predictable, but thought it would be fun).

Well, I think TF must be on vacation! Just landed in ORD from SLC leg. Mild bumps on the climb out of SLC due to some weather. Light chop here and there enroute, then a nice smooth approach and landing into ORD. Overall a very good flight.

Hopefully ORD-FRA leg will be just as good.

Very strange. I log on every day to see if any forecasts are due and I do them. Perhaps since your post was so early it fell to the bottom and I didn't see; I'm sorry about that.

There are a few advisories over the Atlantic, but they are only up to 34k or so, but the world wide turbulence explorer is saying most of the flights are smooth. You might have some light bumps on the way over to FRA, but it should be ok.

Sorry again.

Report for next 2 legs:

ORD to FRA was very good overall. The first hour or so out of ORD was pretty bumpy. We climbed to FL370 to get over the worst of the turbulence over eastern Canada. Initially, the capt kept the FAs in their seats for a bit, but once we were above the turbulence they were released. We hit a couple patches of light-moderate over the Atlantic (enough to wake me a couple times). The landing in FRA was pretty smooth.

FRA to TXL was smooth the whole way.

I'll post for the return in a few days. Thanks!
