Pireps over a lot of the country don't look as bad as I'd expect with all the weather, anyone flown today?

Flew MCI-CLE tonight (3/31) - it was very choppy, but not threatening. Pilot was very forthcoming about what to expect. They did a good job getting up in altitude and avoiding some towers. All of this on the ERJ-145 - surprisingly not thrown around more.
