Date: April 17th 2008
Departure: 1130AM
Arrival: 145PM
Flight left on time. Smooth out of Toronto.
Apparently we crossed the northbound jet somewhere over the Great Lakes as the seat belt sign went on for about 10 minutes. Light chop during that period, but the rest of the cruise was uneventful.
Landing in Calgary was smooth until about 14,000 feet (about the height of the mountains). Got pretty choppy after that and there were a few dips that were kind of fun. Probably the most turbulent landing I have experience into Calgary before. We do have a system moving in that is supposed to bring a lot of snow for the next 5 days.
Ended up arriving 15 minutes early (130PM) which was unexpected as it was a westerly flight and I expected more headwinds. The inflight display said our groundspeed was anywhere between 450mph and 530mph, which makes me believe we had a bit of headwind.
