Unhappy Flights on 1/13 United to DEN to Las Vegas, Fyling over mountains not happy

    HI there,
I haven't posted in quite a long time, but you were so helpful when I flew to san fran a year ago. My husband and I are going to sin city, and am excited, but dreading the long flights. Also flying into Denver for first time ever, and heard it rocks and rolls into there cuz of the rockies. If you have time, could you please provide a forecast for my flights. Am leaving from Tampa to Denver at 830am on 1/13. If you don't have time I understand, and thanks in advance for your time.

Looks like some light to moderate is certainly a possibility. Air time for this flight is 90 minutes, so it isn't THAT long. Just think about the fun you'll have in Vegas. Enjoy.

Sorry about delay in responding back, actually got delayed in Vegas due to mechanical issues on plane out last week. Was not happy to postpone my least favorite part of the trip (the return) by a day with nasty weather coming in from those california storms.

You were dead on though for trip out report. Smooth as could be into Denver, and from take off to landing bumpy over rockies, and then into Las Vegas. They had 30 MPH surface winds, but was on United, and was listening into Channel 9 so that helped curb my anxiety with the landing. I highly recommend United for that feature, cuz flying out you could hear them checking in with the area flight controllers asking for a smoother altitude.

Thanks as always, and will be checking back in next flights I take.
