Things have really flared up recently, due to a lowering of the jet stream. I imagine the flight will not be 100% smooth, but it should be no more than light to moderate at times at altitude, and Denver has been pretty active, so expect some bumps near DEN. Sorry for the vagueness, but it's hard to say with certainty for this one.

Things will be calmer than initially predicted, smoothing out a lot.

As you indicated, it wasn't too bad. Some occasional light chop on climb out of MIA, then smooth at 36000. About mid way across the gulf it picked up to continuous light with occasional moderate chop. A climb to 38000 made it smooth all the rest of the way to DFW, other than what the pilot reported as a "tremendous" head wind.

DFW to DEN was occasional light pretty much all the way, but very light for the most part. Even the approach into DEN was much milder than usual.
