Default Flight to from Tpa to San Francisco Friday 2/15/08.

I saw you are on vacation, so I completely understand if I don't get a reply. I am flying American Airlines from TPA to DFW. Departure is 6:50pm three hour flight time to DFW. I hr lay over, and then depart to San Francisco and arrive at San Francisco Airport at 11:52 pt. I am worried because I've seen the outlooks and california and the southwest have been covered in Red all day indicating severe turbulence. I was in severe turbulence landing in a thunderstorm years ago, and since then I dread the threat of experiencing anything like that again.
Again, I understand completely if you don't have time to respond, but I thank you for any of your time in advance.

I don't want to imagine what that must of felt like.

The first half looks fine, and looking at the historical maps for today, it didn't look good today. I think it's starting to weaken a bit, but I'd be ready for some moderate+ on the western half of your journey. However, i'd say things are trending better, and you are north enough so it might not be so bad.

Thank you so much. I checked the outlook just now, and the only severe is located within the LA region. I've flown over the rockies and sierra nevadas before, so expect the normal turbulence due to the mountains. Hopefully, should just get in and out of Dallas before the weather there really turns. I will definitely let you know how the flight was, and I can't tell you how much I appreciate your input. Knowing what I have to expect helps tremendously.
    Thanks again.

Sorry it took so long, didn't bring my laptop. The flight in was pretty bumpy into and out of Dallas due to some strong weather in the area. However, good news is the worst bumps were short in duration. Flight into San Fran was bumpy continuosly at the beginning, but smoothed out the farther away we got from Texas and New Mexico. Looks like should be no weather in the area tomorrow for the entire flight which is good. If you know of any trouble spots along the way, feel free to let me know if you have the time. We depart here at 9:25am pt., and arrive in Tampa, at 7:30 pm et. Connection through dallas again. Thanks for everything, your service is wonderful.
