  • Worst months for turbulence along US West Coast and/or in general

    Hi,

Long time no post, Input is appreciated on the subject line question.

On a side note, I used to check this site for turbulence potential before a flight, but stopped doing so. The reason is there's usually nothing I can do (canceling the flight is rarely a viable option.) Therefore, I prefer to just try and bear it when it happens or when the pilot announces that it will happen, rather than hours or days of fretting.

My personal feeling is that late November-early April is the worst time, but it can and does vary a lot and of course that's not an absolute. I think it gets rough when the jet stream descends over the US.
