It's going to be a bumpy one. Good start out of Europe, turning moderately bumpy from the UK to about an hour west of the UK.
You get a break for about a couple of hours, and then they'll likely south of the jet stream so you might get a bit of a break, and then it's moderately to lightly bumpy the rest of the, including descent and landing into DTW.
Flight wasn’t too bad. We flew unusually far North and West but avoided most of the Jetstream/ turbulence. Fasten seatbelt sign was on most of the way but it really only got bad the last 45 minutes as we descended through some nasty weather into DTW. Thank you again!
Oh wow. So, when I was writing the forecast, I was thinking, they really need to fly out of the way to avoid it, but I didn't think they'd fly that route. There were some westbound tracks that high (north) but I went back quite far in the history as I always do and I didn't see a flight fly that far north, so I dismissed the possibility. I love to proven wrong, thank Delta for going the extra mile on this one! What's really neat about it is that it only added about a half hour to the ride. Not significant time wise.
