Does anyone know if different airlines have different protocol for the pilot to address the passengers. Some airlines, the pilots talk a lot, others, never hear anything. Maybe it is left up to the crew?
I'm not too sure if there is an established protocol, because it seems to vary wildly even on the same airline. What I am sure about though is different protocols on how much turbulence is acceptable to passengers, and how different airlines treat the non serious light to moderate.
Northwest avoids the most, United probably does an ok job, and the ones that I don't feel are as good include American, US Airways, and Spirit.
