    Talking Fascinating Northwest CAT incident

    From AVherald.com

The gist is that they requested a change from FL360 to FL300 over the Atlantic because forecasts were for CAT. Request was denied because there was a lot of other air traffic so they declared a weather emergency!

I suppose declaring an emergency gives any flight priority. They were able to get down to FL300.

Well, so far it looks like the old Northwest is alive and well.
